Built by someone who's been on both sides of the steering table.
Seven years in IT services and consulting leadership, four of them spent building a business unit from scratch, and today leading a team of 260 people with full P&L ownership.
I'm Vasco Machado de Oliveira, a Business Unit Director with seven years in IT services and consulting leadership. Today I hold full P&L and commercial ownership of a business unit of 260 IT consultants, placed across multinational client engagements, after four earlier years building and scaling another business unit from the ground up. Alignd exists because I've watched the same thing happen too many times, both sides knew a project was drifting weeks before anyone put it on a slide, and by then it cost real money. This is the tool I wanted and couldn't buy.
Most of what goes wrong in a large engagement isn't a surprise. Scope creeps, the sponsor stops turning up, decisions start taking three weeks instead of three days — and everyone involved can feel it. What's missing is a safe, low-cost way to say it while it's still cheap to fix. Status reports don't do that: they are written by one side, for one audience, after the fact. Alignd is the opposite — the same six signals, both sides, one shared number neither side owns, so drift shows up weeks before it's a slide. AI-written weekly reviews against what was actually agreed are coming in the pilot.
Why the product is neutral, not supplier-side
It would be easier to sell this as a delivery-partner tool: a dashboard for the firm doing the work, showing account health across the book. We deliberately didn't build that. A score that only one side can see is a management report, and people answer management reports strategically.
Neutrality here isn't a value statement, it's four product rules: both sides take part in scoring the project; answers are only ever shown in aggregate, never per person; weeks lock once closed so nobody can rewrite history; and both sides see the same screen at the same time. Shared scoring and the shared screen work today; aggregate-only answers and locked weeks arrive with the weekly pulse in the pilot. When AI reviews arrive they will read the same inputs those rules produce — they won't take either side's word for anything on their own. Those rules are what make an honest answer safe to give.
